Tivoli
Strong on style and safety, this contemporary B-segment SUV offers a comprehensive specification and sector-leading prices from just £13,300.
There are three trim levels - SE, EX, ELX, the choice of 1.6 litre petrol or diesel Euro 6 engines, 6-speed manual, 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission, front wheel drive or intelligent 4x4.
Comprehensively equipped, all models feature alloy wheels, cruise control, electric windows, air conditioning, Smart steering (normal, comfort and sport modes), an RDS/Bluetooth radio and seven airbags, while higher specification models add leather upholstery, a 7” touch screen, smart audio system with rear view camera, heated front seats and front fog lights.
Korando
With prices starting from just £15,800 the Korando sets the benchmark of affordability in the rapidly growing compact crossover segment.
Designed for Europe in Italy by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design, the SsangYong Korando offers a highly contemporary look, and the choice of 2.0 litre petrol or 2.2 litre Euro 6 diesel engines.
The 2.0 litre petrol engine delivers maximum power of 146ps and maximum torque of 149Nm at 6,000rpm, while the diesel increases that to 178ps at 4,000rpm and 400Nm at 1,400 – 2,800 rpm respectively, making it one of the most powerful in its class. With a choice of two or four-wheel drive and a towing capacity of up to two tonnes, Korando offers the practicality of a 4x4/SUV and the capability to go from muddy campsite to urban school run.
There are three models available, with the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
Turismo
The SsangYong Turismo is almost without rival - giving users a car to transport seven adults in comfort with their luggage.
At over 5-metres long with a 3-metre wheelbase, the car is larger than a standard sized MPV people carrier. The Turismo has a choice of 6-speed manual transmission or Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic, with prices starting at £19,750.
The ELX has an impressive 2-tonne towing capability and selectable 4x4 with low ratio as standard, making it especially practical for towing or driving off-road.
Notes
5-year limitless mileage warranty
All models in the SsangYong range are covered by a best-in-class 5-year limitless mileage warranty. Designed to be totally transparent and give customers complete peace of mind, ‘limitless’ means just that: not a maximum mileage condition that some brands impose in their small print. All the major mechanical components are covered including the engine and drivetrain, wheel bearings, suspension joints and bushes, steering joints, shock absorbers and even the audio system. Wearable components such as clutch friction plates and brake pads which could have their life reduced by poor driving are covered for one year or 12,500 miles, and the battery and paintwork for three years.
Made in Korea
SsangYong cars are manufactured in South Korea by SsangYong Motor, which is 73 per cent owned by the Indian engineering conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra, and imported into the UK by SsangYong Motor UK. Established in 1954 it is Korea's oldest vehicle manufacturer and only 4x4 and SUV specialist producer. There are some 65 SsangYong dealers covering England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, with new locations being added to the network all the time.
